Ukrainian Pysanka Eggs
Eggs are hand made, hand painted by
Ukrainian artists Vasili and his family in
West Ukraine.
Material - solid wood.
This style of paintings goes back for
hundreds of years and represents
wonderful example of Ukrainian Folk
Art.
Pysanka came from Ukrainian word
"pisat" (to write)
From 1000 eggs you can't find exact
same size and design. It is as
fingerprints: all eggs are different.
Egg size is about real chicken egg (see
in the middle). Large eggs are about 4"

What is this? I bought these items in Russia this summer in
Semenovo village. Single quantity.
Spindler. Used for weaving. My guess it to be more than 70 - 80
years old
Lapti. This is an ancient Russian hand-braided shoes "LAPTI".
Used by peasants probably before 1930-1950s. The cords are
for tying shoes around of a leg.
Length - 7". Material: strip bark from linden wood.
Not sure when it was made. Looks as new.
